KEWfest18! will run from 2 - 18 March 2018, with "Green Glam Day" and the Fireworks Concert on Saturday 17 March

Planning is well under way for KEWfest18 but more ideas are welcome. Events confirmed so far include:

  • "Green Glam Day" (family day) on Saturday, 17 March at Victoria Park
  • Fireworks Concert at Victoria Park, Saturday evening, 17 March
  • Ecumenical Service at the Carmelite Convent on Sunday 18 March
  • New Event: "A Taste of Kew", at all Kew shopping centres
  • "Kew Sings", choral concert at Sacred Heart Church on Thursday, 8 March
  • plus

  • Festival Opening Day
  • Kew Traffic School
  • Q Art and Kew Historical Society exhibition openings
  • "Trial by Jury" performance in the Just Theatre
  • McIntyre lecture
  • plus many other local events
  • As in past years, emphasis is placed on showcasing the cultural diversity of Boroondara.

    Who are we?

    The Kew Community Festival - KEWfest

    is a well-supported community festival capturing the diversity of Kew.

    It has a rich history since 1974 of delivering quality events in Kew and involves activities and events presented over several weeks in March attracting approximately 10,000 people.

    The Kew Festival engages the community in the KEWmunity Day, the Evening Concert and other free entertainment and promotes activities provided by community groups.

    The Kew Community Festival is run at a variety of sites throughout Kew and Kew East, in the City of Boroondara, which is part of Greater Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

    Interested in participating?

    You can register your interest by completing a form, for volunteers and entertainers. New volunteers in particular are welcome to contact us at any time, as planning continues without a break.

    BUSKERS PLEASE NOTE: Buskers are welcome at Green Glam Day if they a) apply through KCF and b) show proof of PLI. No exceptions!
