The 2013 Kew Community Festival ran from Friday 15 March to Sunday 24 March.

There were over 28 events presented by the Festival Committee and community groups in Kew.

In addition there was an exciting program of activities presented by the City of Boroondara and the tenants of Kew Court House.

The Kew Community Festival is a well-supported family community festival capturing the diversity of Kew.

It has a rich history since 1974 of delivering quality events in Kew and involves activities and events presented over ten days attracting approximately 10,000 people.

The Kew Festival engages the community in the Community Day, the Grand Street Parade and other free entertainment and promotes activities provided by community groups.

The Opening Concert and Fireworks display unfortunately was cancelled due to bad weather.

The Kewmunity Day (previously known as Family Fun Day) and Yarra Trams Community Parade was held on Saturday 23 March, starting at 10.30am and finishing 4:30pm. Kewmunity Day was held at Victoria Park, High Street, Kew.

The Parade route commenced at Harp Junction at 10.30am and proceeded down High Street towards Belford Road, entering through the main gates of Victoria Park and finished at main stage within the Park with an Acknowledgement of Country ceremony.

The Kew Community Festival is run at a variety of sites throughout Kew and Kew East, in the City of Boroondara, which is part of Greater Melbourne, Victoria, Australia.

Tentative 2014 Dates

Subject to confirmation, the 2014 Festival will run from Friday 14 to Sunday 23 March, 2014.

Kewmunity Day (aka Family Fun Day) and Community Parade wil held on Saturday 22 March, starting at 10.30am and finishing 4:00pm.

The Opening Concert and Fireworks will be held on Saturday 15 March from 6.30 − 9.00pm.
